Heliamphora minor ‘Burgundy Black’ is a carnivorous plant native to the tepuis of Venezuela, which are humid and misty mountainous environments. It forms rosettes of dark, funnel-shaped leaves (traps) that can turn a deep reddish-purple, especially when exposed to good light. The traps serve to capture small insects, supplementing the nutrients of the poor soil typical of its habitat.
Characteristics
The tube-shaped pitchers collect rainwater and attract insects, which slip inside and are digested.

Bright but indirect light during the hottest hours; specific LED lamps for carnivorous plants are perfect.
They require a constantly moist substrate with low-salt water (reverse osmosis or rainwater). They do not tolerate prolonged waterlogging.
They love cool climates: an ideal range is between 18 and 25 °C during the day, with nighttime drops to 10-15 °C.
It is advisable to periodically remove dried or damaged pitchers to stimulate the growth of new ones.
