One of the few known carnivorous bromeliads, fascinating and unusual. Its leaves form a funnel-shaped rosette capable of collecting rainwater: insects and other small arthropods become trapped in this liquid, where they are digested thanks to enzymes and symbiotic bacteria. The light green leaves, with yellowish hues, are covered by a thin waxy coating that makes it difficult for prey to climb back out.
