A fascinating species, the Heliamphora ciliata from the Gran Sabana is appreciated for its robustness and natural elegance. Its ascending features and unique coloration, which varies from green to red, make it an extraordinary carnivorous plant, perfect for enriching any botanical collection.

Characteristics

They require abundant but filtered light; cultivation under artificial light or in bright greenhouses is ideal. Perennial plants that maintain growth all year round, with a slight slowdown during the warmer months. Native to the tepuis of Venezuela, Guyana, and Brazil, cool and humid mountain environments at altitudes of over 1,000 meters.

The tube-shaped pitchers collect rainwater and attract insects, which slip inside and are digested.
