It's an evergreen ornamental plant that maintains its appeal year-round. However, its peak growth period occurs in spring and summer, when it develops new, vibrant, colorful leaves. Native to tropical regions of India and Southeast Asia, Begonia rex loves warm, humid conditions, reminiscent of its natural habitat.
